Now to tackle this.....

Image

The shoebox is actually hiding the extension block and all the cables 🤣. Will look into a proper one at some point but this makes use of a box I was reluctant to just throw out.
Background is just black mountboard cut to size. Waiting to hear back from a couple of places about a lid (2mm acrylic with a corner cut off for cable egress and a feeding hole).

OK....so got fed up waiting for people to get back to me and found somewhere online where I plugged in the dimensions and sorted (no feeding cut out but my Dad probably has a drill bit for that 🤣). Given it’s a Betta tank, i’m probably happier not having a permanently open hatch! Now it’s just a few extra plants and all done

That’s been a long evening; 3 hours solid work. Worth it though as T3 is up and running.
Started with this:

Then added some plants from Ghost’s tank (he’s sulking, even though I left plenty!)

Image

Then I went to work on the Fluval, tidying it up (scrubbing the gunk off the wood), replanting the bits that started floating (lobelia...nightmare!) and removing some of the spare filter media to add to T3, as well as a few plants.
Image

And T3 is now looking like this:

I suspect the filter might be a bit much for Ghost....i’ve got an Anubias “tree” coming to go in front of the filter so hoping that disperses some of the flow a bit, and i’ll see about some sort of baffle. Might be I can stick some filter floss in there. The wood from Ghost’s current tank will also get moved across into that gap. I’ve some crypts coming for in front of the rocks and some ludwigia for behind them. Both tanks dosed 2ppm ammonia at 10.30 so it’ll be a long day to see how the bacteria have behaved.

Did the filter not come with a spray bar? (It is an Oase, isn't it?)

It’s the bioplus so the trickle comes out from the top of the filter, or you twiddle the dial and it comes out the spout. I didn’t want a spray bar (other option was a HOB, but I preferred the tank flush against the wall).
I’ll have a play with it now i’m not tired after 3 hours of buckets!

Yep....it was quite an evening but I really really enjoyed it. I’m no George Farmer (not by a long shot) but it’s really satisfying. I can see myself remodelling tanks a lot over the years! Or buying more tanks....but I don’t have room for more, and definitely don’t have the electrical sockets for more either! I really should buy a lottery ticket and win!

Lovely little setup, the dragonstone stands out well on the dark substrate :)
