My South American Cichlid tank has now settled on a population that on paper looks like a disaster waiting to happen, yet one by one, as I've introduced new fish, they all seem to be getting on suspiciously well.

In there I've got:

2 Severums
1 Green Terror
1 Jack Dempsey
1 Geophagus Tapajos
1 Electric Blue Acara
1 Convict
1 Firemouth
1 Geophagus Heckelii
1 Chocolate Cichlid
1 Uaru
3 Angelfish
1 Xingu Krobia
1 Golden Nugget Pleco
1 Synodontis Angelicus

The only sign of any aggression is the Geo Tapajos occasionally gives the Firemouth a bit of a stare down, but that's it.

They're all in the 4" - 6" stage currently.

Is there likely to be trouble ahead?

Not sure, as you dont have pairs you might not get so many issues.
Also arent they central american cichlids? ;)

Lets have some pics - I'd love a big Cichlid tank.

You have a mixture of South American (soft water) and Cemtral American (hard water) cichlids that shouldn’t be made to compromise on their water. You also have several species that need to be kept in groups. No offence but this is a very irresponsible stocking list where the needs of the fish seem to be being gnored.

As requested - took these just now...

Only two fish I couldn't get a decent shot of are the JD and the Heckelii as they were hiding. Got JDs face though.

My water is fairly neutral at 7.0 ph, 4-6 kh and circa 8-10 gh so I was banking on being 'close enough' for everyone and doesn't seem to be too adrift for any particular species, although I'll happily be corrected.

Which species are Central and which are South?

They all seem to be healthy, happy and growing.

They are all great looking fish, your JD is amazing, not seen an Electric blue Acara that big, you are obviously taking good care for the fish to reach that size and condition.
