They’ll be fine! They’re virtually indestructible:D
I left one in my QT tank upstairs that wasnt running at all (no filter, lights or heater) for quite a while (it really was ages!) and when i found it i just dropped it in one of the tanks, its grown and become one of the many now
Its looking good Paul

Cheers mate, they've survived the first test, now we'll see how durable they are as the fish will give them a pull about!Gingerlove05 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 20:18 pm They’ll be fine! They’re virtually indestructible:D

Are you going to take it out of the pot and stick to a rock? They feed mainly through the rotts in the water column, so will do better out of the pot......
(I realise you've kept the plants in the pots because of the cichlids )

Yeah that's the plan, get the beasts used to them and I'm waiting on some large red Lava Rock that has Java grass growing on top of it, then hopefully glue the plants to rocks also

Had a fatality this week, one of the little parrots, he put a good fight up but it ended Friday morning. Not quite sure what was wrong but I treated with seachem culpramine, no other fish look abnormal at all. Shame as he was a little black and white one that had bags of personality.
Done a 400l water change today, cleaned the glass and tidied the tank.
Water levels are Ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 10-20 so hopefully settled down and cycled.
Will stop the stability now and leave the tank a week and hopefully it'll be all good.
Sorry for the reflection, will try and get some better pictures when it gets dark!
