As i am about to start back up again i thought i would start a new thread to keep things up to date . Space wise I m pretty restricted so i have been looking at a corner tank Trigon 190 maybe ?
I have been trying to convince mrs taff to have a bigger tank ( 6 foot ? ) but this would mean having to lose some furniture .
If i go down the bigger tank route then either a seabray looks really nice or even custom build ?
Stocking wise will depend on tank size really but have always fancied Altum angels wild or f1s .
This would require a taller tank 3 foot high ?
Or even discus wild biotope ?
I do have a 100 ltr in my shed gathering dust s could start that up in our spare room . I also have 3 or 4 2 foot tanks which were going to be in my fishroom which never happened
Any suggestions would be welcomed regarding tanks and stocking .
Paul..

I now have a Seabray 5 foot aquarium (bought May last year) and I like it (see my tank log). They now produce a 6 foot version.
I added my 2 x Eheim Pro4 600 external filters and a Fluval Plant 3.0 Bluetooth LED (59W); I'm happy with my choices.
If considering Angel fish then a 4 foot aquarium would be considered minimum and the Seabray aquariums should be tall enough at 2 foot tall (60cm).
You can always pop around to see my aquarium if you wish but I'm sure they'll have one on display in Maidenhead Aquatics Cwmbran.
Seabray make aquariums in various colours and sizes (Maidenhead Aquatics link).
3, 4, 5 or 6 foot and available in Mekong, Tiepolo or Vintage Oak colours.
All the best

I'll be watching how you get on with your tanks mate.
I have a 5ft seabray aquarium as well. I'm running a fx6 and oase biomaster 250 on mine.

No, no, no, my friend You need to get her onboard, why she needs this beautiful piece of furniture in the home ...the tricky bit is convincing Mrs. Taff that it was her idea all along.
As part of your deception plan, try showing her this video...
24 inches depth is fine with Pterophyllum altum but yes taller is better for them.
Just bare in mind the associated issues with very high aquariums, especially if your a short arse like me.
WARNING - DO NOT BREED, FEED OR PET THE PUDDLE!

A little update on what tank/setup that I am going with well still have'nt decided what size or type yet . Though it is looking more like a trigon 190 rather than a 6 footer .
I have been visiting the old usual haunts and its sad to see quiet a few have closed down. Also went to a new to me MA in wenvoe near barry which had a good selection of corys .
So while I make a final decision on the bigger tank I will be ordering a Juwel lido 120 which will fit a little corner of our spare room.
Stocking wise will be a few cory probably panda or pygmy . A few neon as i have had them in all my tanks in the past .
And once the weather turns for the better I might get a few tanks going again in the shed / out house .
Paul.
