Well, another 2 tiny Corys appeared a few days ! I have put them into the Kintergarten Tank and feed them hydrated Brine shrimp and Protogen; I am waiting to get frozen Daphnia to add to their diet. They seem to be thriving so far. So from the 5 I started with in September, there are now a definite 10, with possibly another tiny one hiding in the Forrest of Moss. (the tidler I let loose in the Community tank 3 weeks ago. )

Well! I don't know what you have been up to during this lockdown , but I know what my Ciorys have been enjoying ! I found about 6 - 9 eggs on the front of the tank! Popped them into the Kintergarten tank and hopefully they might well produce fry. I cannot see if they are fertilised as yet. However should they produce young'uns, then there will be a batch of FREE Pepper Corysdoras on offer for any forum members, in about 12 - 14 weeks. I already have 11 in 3 generations,, having started in September with only 5. They re out-breeding all the other fish I have. Time I got them a TV to watch.

6 days after placing the eggs in the Kintergarten, I see I have at least one baby fry. So I'm gonna be a foster parent to at least one, again!. 12 weeks of close parenting, feeding, checking tempertures etc etc etc...Probably after about 6 - 7 weeks I may introduce one of the last batch of hatchlings into the Kintergarten to keep the tiddler company.

I don't want to push my luck, bu i think I can now see, 3 fry. That will certainly over-populated the tank; so will definitely think about giving a group of 5 away, when the tidlers are big enough. Say... the tiddlers plus 2 teenagers from the last hatchings. These will be about 30 weeks old by then. So if anyone is thinking of buying Pepper Corys , hang on a few weeks, and get these FREE¬¬¬¬

Bad news! Checked the tank this mornign and all three seem to have died as they are just lying on the bottom and don't jump when I touch them. Can't winder why it happened! Temperature is constnat 72 and i added Protogem and daphnia just as I did with the other fry which survived sussessfully. I will leave the tank alone for a few hours, just in case.
I didn't think I would actually feel so bad about it. Quite sad really.
