You should only need one lot of Poly. Take it out after a couple of days and post a photo of it. It turns different colours according to what it has removed.....

I had exactly the same problem with my old tank and, like you, I tried all the meds available and nothing worked. The only thing I have had success with is Seachem Paragaurd – but you have to buy it from the US. It cleared everything up but I lost a few plants in the process.

So I took a look at the poly after a couple of days and it seems a sort of light brown colour. Maybe slightly bronze... See pic, not sure if this tells you anything?
Should I pull it out and go with the Protozin?

That looks like it's removing iron (or a lot of brown rubbish) does the conditioner you use remove heavy metals?

Iron turns it orange. Looks a normal brown to me like regular organics, nothing untoward...
