Hard work an all. Two weeks to get the garden to this stage, Mum & Dad lived at this house since 1969 and had timber, bricks, stones not to mention the weeds, so a couple of skips later...

If Mrs. Puddle and I had this place, (which we were not going too) and I wanted a pond here, the roses in front the arbour would be taken out, a wall built around that area raising to around 24 inches and dug down a further 12 inches which is 12 foot by 6 foot a sort triangle shaped pond of I estimate of around 2000 gallons.

Today we're cleaning the old house but having my lunch here's a better picture of what I meant looking up the garden. Shame really, I don't think I live in a place where I grew up but also where my mother died.
