Its official. I've been diagnosed with MTS!!!!

Me and zarra have just bought a 2nd hand set up.

60x18x30 inch aquarium tank cabinet and lid, fluval fx6, fluval led lighting. Heaters and a load of other stuff for £450.

We want to plant the tank so could we have some stocking suggestions to research over the next few weeks while we gather the other things we need. I'm going to replace everything in the fx6.

What's the best stuff to clean a used tank out.

Looks like I'll be starting another tank log soon.
64l kitchen tank: 16 golden tetra.
5ft 425L: 3 blue angel fish, 30 rummie nose tetra, 20 black neon tetra, 1 longfin bristlenose plec, 2 corydoras sterbai, 24 corydoras duplicareas,2 SAE.

Oh great news, that will give you loads of room, can't wait to see pictures of it, I love the research phase for a new tank, no need to rush as I assume it will have to cycle so that should give you some time, loads of pictures of different themed tanks online to give you inspiration (or envy!) As a starting point you could pick a fish that you especially like then build the rest of the stocking around that or go for a 'theme' or possibly if you really like research a biotope they look great, someone on here has done one for Endlers I think, for my new tank I am going with a theme of getting it to look like a clear water stream, this is driven by my existing fish that will be transferred, I'm not sure I would have the discipline required for a biotope, and my hard water is restricting enough, there are stocking calculators you can use to help, anyway enough waffle, looking forward to your tank log :D

Thanks everyone.

We want to plant the tank and have good size fish in. This seems to be ruling most cichlid out. Angel fish and bristle nose pleco have been mentioned so far.
