We did that to Beni (our inlaws dog) a few weeks back. First big walk of the year with us because the weather had been awful, and we ended up walking him over 7mile...poor bugger

@WinterRose73 easy done it's such lovely weather, lovely pics, my dog was a bit tired as we had a long walk yesterday so not far today, mind he has been 'helping' me with gardening so he is still tired after getting under my feet all afternoon

@Staffylover - the scary thing is I can remember our tree being that size. Seems you have chosen a great spot for yours where even the shadow play brings interest into your garden
@Mol_PMB - we get a family of those long-tailed tits visiting the garden during winter time. They always make me smile - chattering away to each other and looking like flying fluffy cotton balls with tails

Whilst there's no way I can match the gorgeousness of pics so far posted, there are a couple of things that are giving reason for some cautious optimism at Vale! Towers …
This is our three-year-old mini-peach tree. It occurred to me back then that I'd never knowingly seen one (and I probably had a song going through my head at the time) so I bought a dwarf one to find out, and shoved it in a container. Actually it was little more than a stick at the time. In the interim it's produced a lot of kindling and greenery, but not much else, until this month when it evidently decided it was time to get up and get dressed :
I don't suppose anything edible will eventuate but it has delighted me just the same.
The other event concerns my tank codenamed 'Sheba 4'. My trials (and indeed tribulations) with this and its brothers are referenced in another thread but this is potentially happy-worthy. I counted the days since I'd put a couple of shrimp in there and discovered they'd survived for 19 days. So I took a deep breath and transferred my Improbability Fish (the original ones) to it. That was three days ago and they're still upright and inquisitive :
Is it possible that at last I may have turned a corner?
