Still one of my favourite tank designs! Maybe I should've just stuck with one of those!

Only thing I'd change on your tank is to fill it up. Get the water right up so you can't see the surface. Otherwise can't you see the light/ bulb?

To be honest I never really noticed the bulb till you pointed it out. I done a water change this morning so I might fill it up during next week.
64l kitchen tank: 16 golden tetra.
5ft 425L: 3 blue angel fish, 30 rummie nose tetra, 20 black neon tetra, 1 longfin bristlenose plec, 2 corydoras sterbai, 24 corydoras duplicareas,2 SAE.

hahaha - one of my pet hates :D :D I'm all for giving fish the max swimming space and that means filling the tank to the top level :)

I have to agree with the comments about my water level. Thanks again for opening my eyes.

The tank is filled right up now, the fish probably have another 5-6 litres to swim in. We've also added 2 more rosy barbs and 3 Cory's (1 bronze, 1 peppered and 1 albino). And 2 small moss balls.

The tank is stocked now and just needs to be enjoyed. The search starts for a betta tank for the eldest sons bedroom. I'm not in any rush, hoping I can pick a few bargains up along the way.
