Hi everyone, I have a juwel 180 been up and running since February.
1 rubbernose pleco
2 electric blue rams
3 annies gobies
4 gouramis
4 neon dwarf rainbow
12 cardinal tetras
1 rainbow shark
Just added 2 kribs
Tank has plastic and natural plants, not lost a single fish yet, could I add more or is tank overstocked??
How many fish can I keep??

Hi, welcome to the forum.
The tank is understocked but I would remove immediately either the kribs or the rams. That probably won’t end well if the kribs breed.
I might get a few more neon dwarf rainbows, but I wouldn’t be thinking “is there room for more fish”. Every fish increases the bioload, which gives you slightly less of a safety margin if things go wrong, and overstocks the tank more (compared to their natural environment), which causes slightly more stress. I’m not saying adding more fish will be a problem, not at all, but a tank that is understocked means a more stable tank with more natural behaviour and happier fish (increasing a shoal size is an exception).
Also, if you stay understocked you’ll always be able to fall in love with a fish/species and buy some, rather than filling it for the sake of filling it, and then you can’t add any more…?

I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

Welcome to the forum.
I agree with @black ghost about the kribs (I call them "the terrorists of the tank" ).
The shark may get a bit grumpy as it needs a 4' tank for it's minimum territory.
It does depend on which gourami you have and how many males there are whether that will work in a 3' tank as well.
Do you know what the water parameters are as the rams are very susceptible to problems if the water isn't soft and acidic enough?
