Sorry to hear it's so bad for you mate. I hope the doctors can help and give you some relief.
You helped me immensely when I started keeping fish and you do in a daily basis to lots of people seeking help on this forum.
If it helps and occupies your time, I love reading your logs and guides and knowledge on fish.
Get well soon mate

Best wishes Stephen. I have been in a massive hole before with epilepsy, that crippled me for 18 months. I slept for 15 hours a day and feared going out. I know it's a very different condition, but now I have the right medication and a strict lifestyle, I can say I'm the happiest I've ever been. It's hard to stay positive when in pain, but there's always a sunny day around the corner.
I hope this comes across in the right way, I've struggled to write it in a manner that gets my point across without it sounding like self pity from me!

I had my blood test at my GP surgery yesterday morning.
Gill & I went to the seaside yesterday, some nice sea air and gentle stroll along the seafront. It started as a nice day.
Sadly on the way home I had a very bad breathing day.
I went to A&E yesterday evening.
They done lots of tests including a blood test, chest x-ray and ECG.
They were busy and the gaps between tests were ages which put pressure on my spine and additional back pain.
After the ECG at 2.30am I decided to go home and not wait for the results so booked myself out and phoned the wife to pick me up.
I have a telephone consultation with my GP tomorrow afternoon (Thursday), so I'm hoping for some kind of news.
I managed 2 1/2 hours sleep yesterday (this morning), sat upright on the sofa and a further hour a little later.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I’m not one for posting on forums but felt I had to respond to this post. There’s always hope Stephen and it’s good to let it out and get words of support, whether that’s online or to friends and family. Chronic illness takes its toll but keeping the mind active even if you can’t manage the physical side of life so well anymore is super important. God bless and I hope things improve for you soon.

thoughts are with you Steve.
I just found out today that following a recent preop ECG for a hernia op that they aren't happy with how my hearts looking . They suspect that I may have had a(small) heart attack at some point so I'm now waiting to go for a heart MRI to take a closer look at it.
Thinking back I do remember an occasion where I woke up one morning(around 18 months ago) with a tightness down from my left shoulder at the back & partially in my chest but I just put it down to sleeping awkwardly.
Mind you it may also explain why I've been feeling fatigued of late and regularly taking daytime naps

I was tired and ready to sleep at midnight but it's now almost 4.00am and I still can't sleep.
Whilst sitting upright on the sofa I have a dry mouth and an ache in my upper stomach. I've tried sipping some water, tried some milk, tried just walking around the room a little.
I know that I'll only get 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours sleep eventually but that's better than no sleep.
I'm hoping that my GP has some solution to this, I'll find out later today.

Fingers crossed you can get a solution Stephen.
I hope that for everybody suffering at the moment the solutions are positive.
