As I have a new pleco, I'd like to give him some prawns/muscles as most sources suggest it would do him good. Can I just pick up a pack of prawns in Sainsbury's and feed them, or should I stick to the over priced stuff in the freezer at the fish shop?

The supermarket ones are fine, that’s what I always use. Only use the little ‘prawns’ we use for prawn cocktails and prawn sandwiches, because they’re actually shrimp. True prawns (king prawns, etc) contain thiaminase which breaks down thiamine (vitamin B1).
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.
