Hope you are feeling better today, interesting you said about draining the pond to remove sludge, I tackled mine the other day before this cold snap, took all the plants out as they had become matted up together, but it stirred things up and the water still looks black now, not sure what to do as I have newts and all sorts of beetles in the sludge at the bottom.

The binder gunk has settled around the deep pocket and ledge, so will need to syphon that out at some point soon, but starting to grow back a bit now the weather is slightly warmer.

Plenty of weeds, but kind of letting it do it’s thing the lobelia is starting to grow now as well as the phlox and creeping Jenny
