Is there an ideal length for a bubble tube?
I have a "square" Bio-orb 30, the bubble tube for which sits about 1-1.5" below the water surface.
Would shortening the tube by a couple of inches have any benefits? Would it increase the oxygen levels in the water?
Just wondering?

It wouldn't make a difference to the oxygen levels. In theory the longer tube should force more water through it as the bubbles have further to travel.

Shortening the tube will reduce the flow, which will reduce aeration, but would probably not reduce oxygen noticeably.
