I purchased a group of Amano shrimp a while ago but have since noticed that one of them is definitely not an amano, it's only about 2-3cm long and the colours don't match, but I haven't been able to figure out what it actually is, can anyone identify it?

Cherry shrimp or possibly a Rili shrimp, also female.

Cherry: Deeper the red the higher the grade.
Rili: Clearer the shrimp the higher the grade.

There is a shrimp that gets mixed up with Amano (especially in P@H) which has claws (I think they're called Ghost shrimp), but I don't think that has them, so @fr499y is right.
The ghost shrimp will take small fish while they're resting, that's the problem with them.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Funnily enough I showed the picture to one of the guys at my LFS and he thought it was a ghost shrimp, but on looking that up myself later I wasn't convinced, so I think he was just giving it his best guess, glad it's not a ghost shrimp in that case as we have a couple of small fish!
