Fluval U3 bubbles

Hi All,

I just bought a new fluval U3 filter as my 1st one has stopped spraying bubbles....2 weeks after putting my new fluval U3 filter in im now having the same problem where the spray bar isn't blowing bubbles but is spraying. I have taken all apart and cleaned it still no luck. I do have floating plants aswell could this be the issue?

Basically, should a fluval U3 internal filter be showing bubbles spraying out or is just it exerting water and creating a flow sufficient?

Just flow without bubbles. If you have a Venturi fitted then expect bubbles, but under normal operation… no.

Thanks for your response, does my 125L tank need bubbles though for oxygenation? I had the venturi above water as thought I needed bubbles but still stops bubbles after 1 minute

The venturi won't work above water and frankly unless you have fish species that need highly oxygenated water it's really not necessary.
