Dr Tims is one of the bacteria products that is known to work as long as you follow the instructions to the letter. I’m not sure what the instructions are i’d have to look.
How long have the levels been high for?

You have to keep feeding the ammonia munchers, so yes, keep adding ammonia.
The nitrites will stay high for about 10 days.
