Now we're fully stocked I am aiming for 70L a week. I was doing 40 to 50L once a week but rams are sensitive so a little more doesn't take too much extra time.
I guess look at your particular fish and decide what would work best.
I also test parameters mid-week rather than just before w/c. That way I know things are still on track or not within 4 days. So w/c is Sunday and I test on Wednesday.

I'd love to know what this "white gravelly stuff" actually is.....maybe coral sand?
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

No it has a name - can’t remember. I will ask next time I’m in.

Does it actually raise the pH noticeably? Or is it zeolite (chemical that needs "recharged" every month but does the job of the bacteria.

Oh yes! Brings my ph from 6.2 to 7.4. It doesn’t go any higher and holds ph at that. You have to replace every 4 to 6 months I’m told. But I may not bother if ph doesn’t matter!
