Yes, I seem to have a wibble in my lists. It's the red dwarf and mosquito rasboras that are ok.
I do apologise and have amended my records accordingly.

The Lido is more of the cuboid type shape, I used to have the 120L version. The 200L is a bit longer. Here's a video of a 200 set up

I think African cichlids would prefer greater length to keep away from each other so a group of small/medium fish that travel vertically through the water column as well as back and forth would probably be preferable.

For smallish shoaling fish that wouldn’t mind the tank length, take a look at Pseudomugil (blue eye) species?
Or for something bigger in smaller numbers, how about a pair of central American cichlids like firemouths? You would need to provide plenty of decor so they could have their own space.

Rainbow cichlids are a bit big (possibly up to around 7").

So are there any central American cichlids which might be suitable or will they all be to big?

Hi, I was chating to someone the other day and they recomended Barbs. Any thoughts on these ?
The biggest problem I have in my area is a very limited number of fish shops and they all seem set up for the bigger or soft water aquarium.

Some barbs will be ok in harder water, a lot are quite forgiving.
I wouldn't suggest tigers unless you get more than 10, even then they can be proper grumpy....
Pentazona (5 banded) are a bit fussier and do better in soft water.
