Yet another algae question

Noticed a "brighter" green algae has started appearing on the bogwood.

Should I bee concerned?

Going to cut the lighting back a bit as a first step.

For reference there are no certs added and nitrate levels consistently less than 5 even after a week without water changes.

looks to be all the same algae, possibly a bit of slime algae in there. try hoovering it :)

the last picture probably shows it better. The tips are a darker green :)

Tanks due a clean tomorrow so will pay attention to those areas.

My main concern was that it might be cyanobacteria.

Tank doesn't smell fishy or swampy though, I would describe it as "earthy"

That was my first worry, purely based on those pics, that it would be cyano. But try fr499y's suggestion first (fingers crossed).

Before you do, I would just suggest that you check with the owner of zed equipment i.e. The Wife and make sure that all contents and household insurances are up to date just to be on the safe side. :D
