is that grape vine? The reason I ask is because it doesn't do well long term under water. Rots too quickly.

@plankton They were added on the advice of Greta Thunberg to accurately depict the proliferation of plastic in all water-bodies

oh just be careful because it does rot quickly. There was talk of a fungus within vinewood that turned out to be a bit on the deadly side for fish but can't remember where i heard it. Might of been a reptile shop who advised against putting it under water!

Its all fairly thick (1.5"+) so can't see it rotting out that quickly, also the roots of plants by their nature are where the water is at.
Will see how it goes but cheers for the head up

OK, the final iteration (meaning I can not be bothered to twist my mind anymore on this LOL).
Not planted yet (apart from Java fern) as I have placed hides (RHS) for them and want to see if they are used or not.
If they are will plant accordingly and if not will remove and plant more as I would like.
Monolith piece of wood on the left STILL hasn't sunk completely but I quite like it in the position it is and will look at a way to keep it there.
Wood has gone in pretty well and although not exactly what I imagined is a good representation of the sunken woodland I was after.
Just remains to see what the inhabitants think once they arrive.
Also have to say that I moved the centrepiece back from the glass at the suggestion of @Vale! and you really can't tell. Cheers bud
