As title how would these go in my community tank I have been offered a shoal of 6

In the tank I have so far

Cardinals
Black tetra
Phantom tetra
Harlequin Rasbora
Male guppys
Clown loach
Cories
Cherry shrimp
Red finned shark ( who is a model citize )

Any advice appreciated as dont want to just plonk them in and then have the agro of stripping tank down to get them out [emoji85] its peaceful in there and I dont suffer at present with anything trying to eat anything else

Pic of actual fish to make sure species is correct

Personally there would be to many different (schooling)species of fish in about the same waterlevel for me.

Don't exactly know how big your tank is.

They grow to about 6” and are powerful swimmers, which would probably upset your cardinals. Your Shark would probably also not be too pleased. They also would eat your shrimp, and possibly your cardinals. Then again, your Clown Loaches will eventually eat your cardinals.

And are often drifing about in the shoal but they all shoal up in there at times

The red fin has his log that he has picked but also happily shares the same one with the Clown fish there is plenty of logs in there but they seem to like that one.
I'm surprised to hear that didn't know clowns would eat them as many years ago before my marine keeping I had clowns and cardinals together and never had an issue but I suppose any fish can turn nasty.

I may have to give them a miss then but though 6ft would be ample to give them all plenty of space

I think you'd get problems with them and everything else.

I was under the impression that loaches only ate other fish either when breeding and/or not getting enough meat protein in their diet?
I have declined them and said they not suitable I feed the clowns frozen and pellet they have plenty of grub never seen them try and eat anything alive yet unlike my angel I had that I watched inhaling cardinals [emoji85] that got re-homed

There are always exceptions. They probably wouldn’t seek them out, but Clown Loach grow big, and if their mouth stumbles across a tiny piece of sleeping protein, a quick inhale can be hard to resist.
