I have a 200 litre tank stocked with mainly small peaceful fish from The Amazon.
Is there a recognised “best” flake or pellet food for these guys.? Right now they are getting frozen food such as bloodworm alternating with JBL NovoBel flakes.

True. But I did state “mainly Amazonian”, and as a percentage of fish numbers in the tank my statement is accurate. 83% versus 17%.

Personally, flake food isn't worth while anyway! i tend to stick with a general tropical pellet.

I'm currently using Vitalis Tropical Pellets XS

I use mini granules, and JMC high protein fish food for the corys (besides the frozen).
I've found, especially with small fish, that flakes cause more digestive problems......

Is that common for all flake foods? I have fishscience vegetable flakes but can't see what would cause a problem is it an ingredient or something?

I have no idea, all I know is that I've had far less, well none actually, digestive problems with the fish since stopping using it.
The only possible reason why that I can think of is that it does something similar to freeze-dried food and absorbs fluid from the stomach, causing problems......but I don't know......

I've taken to adding the flakes to the soup I make from the freeze dried ingredients, not because I've seen any problems but just because it's easier
