do you mind me asking why toughened glass is not advised?
i do not mind as normal glass will be cheaper anyway so thats always a bonus.
so just your normal 1omm glass from a glazing shop or mirror shop should be good?

I believe it's something to do with its brittleness, possibly combined with the tendency for glass to 'bow' owing to the pressure of water in larger aquariums. Small aquariums may get away with it, if I've understood things correctly.

you also can't drill holes in it later or shape the edges.

Hmm wonder if you can get preformed channels to sit the glass in flush so they dont have to join at 72 degrees (36 degree chamfer on each face)

Well I know you can get 90 degree channels for shower enclosures, I was just wondering whether or not sonmething similar was available in a 72 degree angle.
