In the past I've used either a scalel or steak knife. Always came away with no probs.

Can I ask why you didn't go for an equivalent make if you're taking the filter out anyway?

Hi Ian, I wanted a tank that matched the white furniture in our dinning room, and I know Juwel are well made tanks. It was always my intention to remove the internal filter, its huge and takes up valuable space, lol.

Well things never go right sometimes do they, just had a text from DPD about my sand order, has been delayed in transit and not coming until Monday now, grrrr. Then my Wife popped out for 5 minutes, got back home to find a card in letterbox to say "we tried do deliver 2 parcels today that need signatures" from royal mail, that would be my Redwood and Master test kit, sods law or what.

Oh well, will just have to sit and admire this beast of a tank, lol.

Hi Peter, Sandown is our nearest delivery office, not that far, but as you know we don't drive and the two large pieces of Redwood will be in a large box, so have been on to Royal Mail and Monday is the earliest they can re-deliver, so Monday it is for both parcels. Still, got the black paint being delivered tomorrow, so can get on with that at least, lol.

Just hanging the doors on the Cabinet at the moment, with the help of my labourer, sorry my good Wife.
