@Gill they probably won't do too well as it's that hard.
A female bristlenose would be ok if you just wanted algae control, try to get a smaller one (like mine), she gets on with it (algae clearance) whether she's been fed or not.

@plankton thank you, I thought perhaps that would be the case. I had hoped Otos would be suitable partly due to their size, as I only have a small tank (65L). Wouldn’t Bristlenose be too large for me?

I keep a female bristlenose in one of my 64l tanks and she gets on fine, I had every intention of moving her to a bigger tank but she seems happy in her current tank... as much as you can ever tell if a fish is happy, but she is feeding well, active and never caused any issues, I've had her over a year now so I would assume she is pretty much fully grown.

Mine are the smaller ones (except for "Grumpygraws") and aren't too big at all, only about 3"-3.5". "Grumpy" is about 4.5" and is in the 105l with the guppies and panda corys.
