Has your dad been over-feeding or has someone been throwing in bread ?PaulVerrall wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 12:26 pm There are a few in there with big bellies, I don't even know what type of fish it is.
Just asking.

Over feeding is a possibility, he has some very big koi in there. Definitely no bread or anything. You think that's the problem?

This is dropsy. Caused by a fatal build up of fluid in the body cavity. Unlikely to be kidney or liver failure if several have it. More likely to be a bacterial infection... I’d treat with Myxazin P ASAP to save the koi (other bactericides are available...).
The fish is a goldfish.

Dad is old school (or ignorant) depending on your point of view and doesn't believe in chems or meds etc. He likes to let nature do its own thing.black ghost wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 15:52 pm This is dropsy. Myxazin P. It’s Myxazin for ponds (cold water has some different pathogens).
