Edit: £14 looks cheap, two clothes pegs and a bit of string are looking favourable for now.

I still use good old-fashioned ‘lead’ weights, and remove it all with a net.

I got two "screwcumbers" for £5 (was a while ago) - you can either put a line on them to get them out or I use a planter stick grabber thing.....

Google took me to Amazon to show they still sell them, then I found them on eBay for the princely sum of £7.19.
Looks perfect and no rusty clothes peg spring in the water.
