I seen your thread @Lee_k your tank looks brilliant, you must be pleased with it, and I love your bichir very different, seems there is lots of oddball fish to choose from in Africa which I really like, I don't think I could stick to just one river like you have, I would not have the discipline, find it hard enough with the whole country

Done some work on this tank recently added more wood and caves and plants, surprisingly this has made the tank seem bigger for some reason, less empty I suppose, have also added some great fish Synodontis Nigriventris, Synodontis Granulosus, and one pair of Steatocranus Tinanti,
Here are a couple of pics of the upside down catfish it is weird watching them explore the tank in this way

You’ve added Synodontis granulosus? They won’t last long in soft water [edit… your water’s hard, it seems. So many threads, so little available memory, I just assumed soft because it’s SA].
Are you sure they’re granulosus? It’s a very expensive species, and most available are hybrids.
And Steatocranus tinanti really want a strong current with very high oxygen levels.

My favourite of your three. Just the sheer size of this tank makes such an impact. Great job and I look forward to watching your videos. 😎👍

There is not much change this month, I have done a quick video update with some action from the Thomasi and the Catfish, I had to take out the Lotus plants as the Syno's keep uprooting them and snapping off the roots! The other plants are doing ok, I need to bulk it out with some more so might do that soon,
I have some yellow tail congo tetra on order for this tank so I hope that works out, also have some lake Inle danio in QT which are not riverine, but they are from Africa and will suit the tank so that's good enough for me, I kept 1 before - just the 1 - I could never find any others, so jumped at the chance when these came up, fingers crossed they get through QT ok.

Thanks @black ghost I was sure it was Africa! never mind, I might add them anyway as imposters, or I could put them in the new custom when it arrives, will have a think.

Good excuse to have a Myanmarese type biotope with a shoal of your Inle Danios. ;)
