I knew they grew big!
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it!
Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

If you can get as far as the third line, it’s a Leather Carp x Koi Carp hybrid.
I don't keep fish, I keep water. Water keeps fish.

Doesn't that first line make you sick ?Goldfish are normally big enough to live in a bowl in people’s homes, happily whiling the hours away, scarcely taking up enough room to cause any trouble.
Agree, leather carp and other carp grow big.black ghost wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 9:36 am If you can get as far as the third line, it’s a Leather Carp x Koi Carp hybrid.

Big is an understatement The biggest carp caught in the world ( this was 2019 ) weighed a whopping 105kgStephen wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 10:41 amDoesn't that first line make you sick ?Goldfish are normally big enough to live in a bowl in people’s homes, happily whiling the hours away, scarcely taking up enough room to cause any trouble.
Certainly does. People wouldn't keep a carp in a 'goldfish bowl' yet they are both from the same Cyprinidae family.

Well, it all depends what you mean by ‘carp’. That is Catlocarpio siamensis, the Giant Siamese Carp or Giant Barb. The biggest caught to date was this one at 174kg…
The largest Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio, was this one at 51.2kg…
Ladbible is possibly not the best place to go for factual content, lol.
