Baby platy (I’d suspect )
He’s around a week or so old I reckon, they’re all eyes and see-through when they’re first born. They’re also all female when first born, they start to show dimorphism around 4 months+ (like us they all develop at different times/speeds)

Looks more like a Molly to me.
Livebearers are not all born female. Their sex is determined by their chromosomes, so they’re born either male or female. With a good eye you can sometimes sex them at one week old, as the leading ray of a female’s anal fin is very slightly curved. Gonopodiums don’t develop till sexual maturity, but they’re born male.

@plankton
On another forum he/she(?) said they have Platies and Mollies.
(I’m not a traitor. This forum just isn’t busy enough for me. I’m following 6 now and they’re still not busy enough. I’m also having to straddle the Pond, which I don’t really like doing). I tried to join an Irish one once, but they needed my physical address, and for some reason they didn’t believe 1, Any Street, Anytown existed.
This one is my favourite though.

I can't stand the US forums, they're so abrasive....black ghost wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 12:45 pm@plankton
