I was very surprised today when I noticed fry in the tank….
I wasn’t expecting it so soon even though I have live bearers in tank. Eg…guppy’s & platy’s.
They are approx 1cm long…
I’ve ordered a separation tank plus fry food, it will arrive tomorrow.
Anything else I can do in meantime to help the babies survive?
I have fry after 3 months…

At 1cm they’ll be a few weeks old, so I don’t think you’ll need to do anything?
By “separation tank” do you mean a breeding box? I would advise against using one as there’s hardly any mixing of its water and the tank’s water, so it will get polluted in no time. It will also stunt the fry’s growth.
Also you won’t need fry food.

My guppy tank is full of plants for fry to hide.
They do balance themselves out once the tank is fully stocked.

If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it!
Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

Do you have pictures? Guppy fry are slightly longer and thinner.

Yes, guppies. Platies would be coloured.

It’s a long time since I’ve had guppies. Ask @plankton. I’d say somewhere around a month, maybe 5 or 6 weeks? But it all depends on how quickly they’ve grown, which is largely down to food and water changes.
