So, I was brave today and spot dosed the hair algae. Used around 15ml of 6% in around 90l of water via syringe.
Also will stop ferts and liquid carbon for a few days as the only thing I've noticed is an increase in hair algae.
Not sure if as it dies it just falls off or whether I have to pick it off.
Will spot dose again tomorrow as discovered more when I thought I had it all.

Once the algae dies (it will go red/brown) most fish will eat it or you can remove it when doing water changes. It normally changes colour pretty quickly.

Well, hit the same areas again today, a little frustrated as the hair algae is still stuck fast, maybe turned a little lighter in colour.
I'll do the same again tomorrow before a water change.
The 2 amano shrimps have vanished, not see them since adding, had 3 but one died next day.

Oh why didn't I stick to a hard scape!

Stopped all ferts for now though.
