sorry for your loss Sounds like a lot of work on the tank, I always think fish seem to appreciate a re scape or even just new plants to be honest, put a nice big new plant in and they are all over it, lovely to watch them explore, I never seem to be happy with my tanks either, there is always something I feel I could change or improve, keeps things interesting though.

I'm very sorry to hear about your Mum. The inevitability of it doesn't help (I know) but being able to share the burden of the aftermath is some solace.

Reading upthread, I wonder about this 'ere "good member" that you mention a couple of times. He-or-she seems to have inculcated your Caudimacs with a proclivity for cradle-snatching!

We (the family) buried our mum last Friday (22nd September), it went as well as we hoped.
I had the task of reading the eulogy, something that I was doubtful in doing as I envisaged myself either being in too much pain or being too emotional.
I managed to get through it and everyone clapped afterwards (unexpected at a funeral).
Mum was then laid to rest with our dad.
I feel relieved now it's over, sad but relieved.

On another note; I had an endoscopy on Thursday this week.
Not a pleasant experience having a tube put in my mouth and down my throat to my stomach.
They also took some small biopsy samples of my stomach.
My stomach was fine but the biopsy result won't be available for about 4 weeks (should be fine).

Aquarium Update:
It's hard to believe but I've had this new 425L SeaBray Elite aquarium for 5 months (5 months next week).
Everything is going well. No algae, the plants are growing well and the fish are looking great.
I have noticed some reproduction activity with the Corydoras caudimaculatus, the newer and smaller males (well one male) is pestering an older and larger female. I have even seen them in the T position.
I may make a new video soon.

Aquarium Update:

All is good with the aquarium & fish.
I had a major clean up (the bristlenoses do poo alot) and cut back on the Amazon swords.
Big water change today (about 75%) including the syphoning up of the bristlenose poo.
All looks good again.

I have added 5 x bronze cory (Corydoras aeneus) today, that's all the retailer had otherwise I would of had more.
