Biggest issue I have had is the growth speed, and trying to remove while connected to moss as been a pain.
Everyone wants their tank to look great straight away. The diatoms will just disappear as your tank matures. Looking good though.

Diatoms see what we call ‘the ugly stage’ which can take weeks or months to rid completely. Syphon it out when you do water changes and it’ll soon balance itself out.

So I think I am now currently done with messing about with hardscape and plants and start focusing on stocking.
