Can you have two much filtered water? I am thinking of adding a sponge filter that attaches to the other side of my 240l fluval roma.

Go for it. You can’t really over do it with filtration.

I have a 307 on a shaker 252L, I also have an air driven sponge with a battery backup air pump.
Water always clear.

You can’t have too much filtration. You can have too much flow, for the fish, or the decor, or your ears, but you can’t have too much filtration.
