Simple as that really, can shrimp survive in a tank with tetras, or would I just be providing expensive snacks for my fish? I have silver tips & rosy tetra, along with corries.

My tank has been going for 18 months now, is planted and has wood in it. I expect there is a good biofilm for shrimp to feast upon, if it is possible.
I was thinking of something like cherry shrimp, as my water is on the softer side, and I understand I would probably have to add some bits of cuttlefish bones for them.

Thanks in advance,
Davey.

They pick of the young but decent sized adults should be ok. I've had amanos with tetras for years, but obviously they're a little larger.

depends on the type of tetra. some are calm and others are like mini piranhas.

*edit*

Oops, my bad for not reading what you got. I'd say no unless you are keeping bamboo shrimp or possibly amanos.

Silver tips will likely pick at them, rosys(ies) may or may not.
Amanos should probably be ok though.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!
