Yes.

You’re not dumb, you’re just at the start of the journey. We’ve all been there and we all asked the same questions. :)

It’s recommended to soak them with some tank water and then feed the worms.

You need to soak them till they’ve absorbed as much water as they’re going to absorb, otherwise they’ll absorb water in the fish’s stomach, which puts a stress on the fish’s osmotic system. Soak them in tank water for half an hour or so.

Thank you all, was expecting sarcastic comments, but none, and even an explanation as to why they get soaked. Going to really like it on here. Thanks again much appreciated.

You’ll get a bit of banter from the regulars @Martinspuddle and his piranha recommendations for instance 😂 but not normally sarcastic comments 🙂

He speaks for himself.

@Flobert just be aware some fish species cannot tolerate freeze dried foods, even soaked.

Puntius genus (Barbs) cannot always digest this food but on the other hand Livebearers like Guppies and Platies don't seem to have an issue.

Many of us use wet frozen foods instead.

I won't use it any more. I also don't use flakes any more, and the amount of digestive problems has gone to zero. Just pellets, granules, wafers (algae) and frozen used nowadays.
If at first you don't succeed....
...get someone else to do it! :D

Enjoy your fish, shrimps and snails!

I never use freeze dried. I don’t see the point when frozen foods are so much better.
(I still use (Tetra) flakes though. I don’t get any issues with them).

I don’t have a car, and to buy live food it costs circa £20 for delivery, haven’t tried frozen food, but imagine cost for delivery would be the same. I fed some soaked freeze dried food today, was so much fun to watch. I rarely use flakes, they seem to like the granules better. Also can’t get away with one piece of cucumber or fruit, fish don’t queue 😂😂😂
