Thinking about getting some otto catfish, what are the ideal tank conditions needed? my snow plec is getting too big for my tank so with heavy heart I'm taking him back after Christmas.

I’m never happy saying 6-8. It’s a compromise, especially with Otos. There’s recent research that says the old ‘minimum’ of 6 for a shoal isn’t enough. It should be at least a dozen, for any schooling fish, and since Otos live in groups of hundreds at least, I wouldn’t keep less than 20-30. But people keep them in tanks too small for these numbers, so…
