I have Hygrophila rosae australis in my tank as you may know but if I'm honest I'm not a big fan and am thinking of replacing it. Would it be wise to completely rip it out and plant something else in its place and especially while I'm still having algae issues?
It's most likely down to my planting and scaping skills (or lack of) but I just don't like how the Hygrophila rosae australis ends up looking so untidy all the time.
Not knowing a huge amount about plants any recommendations for good stem plants for newbies. I kind of like the various types of vallis for its simplicity and I also like some of the rotalas.
And does anyone think I would benefit from a carpeting type of plant in the foreground?

Can’t help you because I’m no expert and haven’t even tried carpeting plants. What I can tell you is that plant looks great. Really healthy and natural.

Thanks for this I will look into these and give it some thought! I'm tempted to just start another small tank somewhere to experiment!Martinspuddle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 15:49 pm Here's a list of easy, some medium difficultly plants.
