hi all,
i have two amano shrimps at the moment both were small, greyish / translucent when i got them. now they are a good size, gone through numerous moults however this time i have noticed one of my amanos is going a yellow colour on its upper back. Do i need to be concerned about this or is natural?

Usually when Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) exoskeleton colour changes it can means one of three things. Stress, type of food consumed or the shrimp is about to moult, I would suggest a mixture of the latter. You'll should find it's original colour will reappear after it's next moult, so I would worry to much.
If the shrimp going about their business, (my wife says they look like their knitting ) this is also a good indication of water quality, the shrimp are happy, then nout wrong with the water parameters.

Not really, breeding is the easy part, salt water. Problem lays with feeding the newly hatched larvae.
