I wonder what the built in filter is like. Had a look to see if they sold it separately but it would seem not.

I have a feeling they are cleair aquariums as I remember them doing a Nile, Pacific, Amazon and a Mekong and all of them had sumps. I might contact them and see what they say.

Anything larger than 100 gallons I always say use a sump, much easier for large amounts of filter media and heating.
If I was looking to get a larger aquarium I wouldn't buy any of these prebuilt tanks but go with a custom build with sump.
