Does make you wonder if you stuck a hydrophone in your freshwater aquarium what noises your inhabitants make compared to a reef aquarium.

That is indeed impressive, but I bet they're not as loud as loaches when they start clicking and sound as though they're breaking the glass!

Not fresh water but think a Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus sp) might be a tad be louder.

I think it said in the report that pistol shrimps can hit around 200db, technically you’d be less deafened if a gun went off next to your ear lol
