I noticed recently that B&Q are selling all sorts of stuff for the home/garden on their website, but most stuff is shipped from 'verified sellers' as you'd kind of expect. What I didn't expect is you can buy aquariums and everything related to them! Are they struggling that much that they have become another amazon type of company?

I know high street retailers are finding times hard what with increasing business rates, building rental costs, site land duties and not to mention store overheads but I have to admit this is a turn up for the books. When you mentioned this @fr499y I thought it was going to be like some Wilko stores which did have a limited range of some aquarium equipment and fish foods available until their demise.

Interestingly, 'B&Q' short for Block & Quayle, is owned by the Kingfisher group which the owners of Comet and Woolworths. I wonder how long before we find Kingfisher start closing stores and moving more of B&Q's operation online to save costs. :dodgy2:

I noticed it a few weeks ago as I purchased a fair bit through the app and the B&Q card didn’t work, I looked a bit deeper into and could hardly find anything that’s sold by themselves, even paint was by the the company who’s name was on the tin (crown, dulex etc)
