Can anyone recommend a good in line heater? I have a cheap Chinese one that's not very consistent temperature wise but I like the external ones.

There's only two really, the Aquael Flow Heater 2.0 which come in 300 and 500 watt. Then there's the Hydor ETH 300.

Never used the Aquael but the Hydor I used for many years with no issues.

They retail for around £50 - £60.

Don't forget the JBL one :) I think they are slightly cheaper too.

Thank you. I've ordered the Aquael 300w. It's a new set up, the only thing in it atm is snails but the temp is varying more than I'd like and I'm not prepared to spend a lot on fish without sorting that out.

Wasn't aware of the JBL inline heaters were available in the UK.

Seems that Lincs aquatics do stock them.
